Ernesto Colnago was born in 1932 in Cambiago, a small town in Italy, a region deeply entrenched in cycling culture. At the age of 13, he was introduced to the world of bicycles and quickly developed a passion for cycling. In 1952, he established Colnago and began working as a mechanic for various professional cycling teams. Today, Colnago bicycles continue to dominate the global cycling scene, thanks to Ernesto's constant drive for innovation and his pioneering work in developing new technologies aimed at enhancing performance and comfort.
This early Colnago Super is a perfect example of his craftsmanship. I’m proudly presenting this original Colnago Super. An absolute classic! This barnfind is equipped with a Campagnolo Record groupsets. This bikes dates back to the early 70’s. Check the big Colnago clover on the fork crown. It has a Cinelli Unicanitor saddle. A great project. The perfect base to make a Molteni tribute bike!
