Product details
I’m proud to offer up this piece of cycling history. It's an Eddy Merckx Molteni Colnago Colner roadbike from the 70s. Fully restored to it's original condition. Completely equiped with a Campagnolo (Super) Record groupset. Nisi wheels, Cinelli Unicanitor saddle,...
This bike has been authenticated by Colnago in Italy and comes with Colnago’s certificate of authenticity.
This Molteni features some very unique characteristics. A closer look at the front triangle reveals Colner pantographs on the fork and frame, while the seatpost lug and bracket feature Colnago pantographs. In addition, the brake bridge on both the rear stays and the front fork is welded in place. An extremely rare feature. I was told this frame could have belonged to Eddy Merckx himself during his time with Team Molteni in the early 1970s. Remarkable is the size of the bike, the 175mm Campagnolo cranks and those drilled Campagnolo Record levers. If you know, you know.
