Product details

In the mid-1990s, it was Burrows who developed the Total Compact Road (TCR) model for Giant, a bicycle that went on to become one of the longest-running production bikes in the world.
Burrows had already caught the cycling world’s attention in 1992 when Chris Boardman won the individual pursuit at the Barcelona Olympics using the revolutionary Lotus bike he had designed. This success led to an approach from the Taiwanese brand Giant, which was willing to move away from conventional bike designs and embrace something truly groundbreaking — resulting in the creation of the TCR.
The brilliance of the TCR’s compact, sloping design was that it made the frames both lighter and stiffer compared to bikes with traditional geometry. Additionally, with its smaller rear triangle, the design also provided superior power transfer.
I’m happy to sell one of those light/ stiff Giant TCR Team bikes made of Aluminium cu92. It’s a rather small size. Size: 44cm (indicated on the frame)
It comes equipped with a Campagnolo Chorus 8s groupset.
Campagnola Scirocco clincher wheels and ofcourse a Mike Burrows seatpost & stem!

A real youngtimer and ofcourse a collectors item.

Tubing:
Aluminium cu92.

Size:
44cm (indicated on the frameset)
