Mario Peloso Special

Original Mario Peloso Special frameset. A fine example of traditional Italian craftsmanship. The frameset is richly detailed with pantographs throughout, including the signature Special Peloso pantograph on the seatpost lug. A matching pantographed 3TTT stem is included. Built by Mario Peloso of Alessandria, a master frame builder trained at Maino,this frameset comes from the era when Italian builders supplied both private clients and the professional peloton. Peloso built frames were ridden by professional teams like the most notably Carpano–Coppi team. The frameset needs restoration, making it a perfect candidate for a faithful vintage rebuild or a valuable addition to a serious classic collection.
