Eddy Merckx Corsa Extra Team Telekom

Eddy Merckx, better known as ‘The Cannibal’ was born in 1945, in Belgium. He was a professional cyclist from 1961 to 1978.
After his career, Eddy Merckx founded his new company in 1980.
From his workshop in Meise, Belgium his new professional challange was was to produce high-end racing frames. Merckx went to Italy and got trained by the the art of building frames by De Rosa for several weeks. Ugo De Rosa trained Eddy Merckx and came to Belgium to visit the factory and the new employees.

During the late1980’s and early 1990’s, the Eddy Merckx Corsa Extra was a top-end level road frame among professional teams.

Proudly offering this Eddy Merckx Corsa Extra Team Telekom road bike. The superb frameset is made from Columbus SLX tubing. This Eddy Merckx Corsa Extra comes in its original paint and chrome finish. It is equipped with a Campagnolo Record groupset, combined with clincher wheels and a Cinelli Eubios handlebar. This piece of art was handmade in Belgium, in the workshop in Meise, around 25 km from where I live. This is a top-end bike. If it’s your size, don’t think twice.
